| Open # 1 Lighthouse February 9th 2008 |
| The first event of the JSA 2008 National Open Series was held at the Lighthouse surfing beach at Plumb Point, Port Royal on 9 February 08 in head high surf. Only 12 surfers registered for the men's open division and 4 in the ladies open division as no surfers turned out from the north coast which gave the south coasters a chance to get some very welcomed points.
