Salute All! Welcome to the home of Jasta 9. We are an
On-line Red Baron Squadron and we hope you enjoy your
visit. Jasta 9 was informally formed in late 1999 and
officially began on January 4th 2000 with the upload of it's
first web pages under the leadership of J9_Fire_CO. I took
the job of Commanding Officer later in 2000 when Fire
was under increasing obligations elsewhere. It has been a
great honor and privilege to serve as CO of J9 because of
the people that make up J9 and the many friends we have
made along the way as well as forming good relationships
with the many fine Squadrons in the active Red Baron
Community both Allied and German alike. Early in our
history we allied with PC69 having many friends there and
the help of then CO PC69_Kahnn who kindly provided the
second generation of our web pages. (S! Kahnn!). Later as
we grew J9_Charlie our Staff Officer created a new online
home for us and has been doing a fantastic job ever since
on the pages you are viewing now.

Jasta 9 is a German squad that is active in both AFM
and NFM flight models. J9 has several different flight
groups with slightly different emphasis, all lead by good
and talented pilots. We hope to attract those interested in a
squadron that may be new to the game as well as those
with more experience. We value character as much or
more than ability in J9. We do not hold tryouts because we
are always willing to share knowledge and learn together
with new pilots in the interest of promoting a positive
Squadron experience.

For myself and the members of Jasta 9 we offer up a
