October 28th 1891 Dear Friends,
Can you conveniently entertain me over Sunday next ??I have
never forgotten that when no one else would receive your Missionary –
you did. & many are the happy hours I spent at the little stone Farm.
At your family Altar I have had many spiritual refreshings & I
would like to sleep once more & for the last time – probably –
beneath your roof.
If it is impossible – I shall go to a Hotel & will thank you
to tell me of the best & most homelike. On Monday night I hope to sleep at the “Drakes” if convenient to them? & I am writing Doctor & Mrs. Drake such effect. On the Tuesday I must leave and may never meet again as I have a fresh book to do for God – in Mexico, in India, & in China.
He has given me the abilities & opportunities & I pray for
grace to consecrate all to Him. I hope to find you all well. We had an awful voyage but “through the tender mercies for you” Here I am safely. With best wishes, believe me near family. Yours truly, J. Williams Ahwau Mr. & Mrs. Jasper Golden ( & Family)
