Joseph Malott

At this point in time I have not figured out how the property went from Girty to Parks to Peter Malott. To quote from an article written by Madeline Malott, December 1976 she wrote "Mary Malott  (wife of Peter Malott) or Aunt Polly (nick name) lived out her life on the home place. Her son, Peter, remained on the original Lots 4 & 5 and his older brother Joseph, inherited Lots 6 & 7 (seven is where "stone house" now stands). Joseph became a circuit riding Methodist minister, setting up  many congregations that later became churches. He was the father of a famous Sea Captain William Malott of the Civil War Era, who was also an early Harbour Master of Kingsville. Joseph Malott was the builder of a rather controversial Linden Beach Club house just recently torn down"
