Thank God. Since You heard last, I have now Six Sons, all fine healthy & tiring boys. Their names are Charles, John, Thos., William, Robert, Samuel We have not been favoured with a daughter yet.
We are thankful for what the Lord has given & hope we shall have grace to bring them up right no word of any promotion for me yet The Salary has enough to do now. Your old neighbours all well. William Allen Son of Charles has disgraced himself by theft. He stole a watch, some say, two of them. His Father is going to send him to Australia. He has been an outlaw from his Fathers House for ? years or more. The Eldest daughter of Hugh Morrison has got married to a farmer named Irwin, grandson of old Reid of Cunghill(?) Robert Morrison Son of Morrison the lime-burner has got married to a Miss Sproule from Coolaney Chas. Dwyer has lost a daughter, Eliza, by consumption & John Walker of Conane(?) has lost one of his Sons by a brain fever. Caused by over exertion at the Loy(?) I told you in my last about the death of Chas Mitchell by drowning at the Sea The Clarke Family are getting on well, very industrious. So is the Family Of the late William Golden & Widow Mullins? & Jack Golden are tolerable Your former neighbour the Dousg??a? Family are getting up in the world very fast John Brett of Tubbercurry lost his wife, who died very Suddenly last Augt. Of apoplexy. Some say she was fond of Strong drink Mrs. Gray the young widow of old Hugo died same day of decline. Sending(?) Love to four Friends. Father Sisters & Brothers may the Lord be with you all.
