Know All men by these presents that I Simon Wigle of the Township of Gosfield in the County of Essex & Province of Canada Yeoman for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar of lawful money of Canada to me in hand well & truly paid by William J. Malott of the Township of Gosfield aforesaid Yeoman the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to remise? Release and for ever quit claim unto the said William Malott, his heirs & assigns forever, all and singular that said parcel and tract of land & premises situate lying & being in the Township of Gosfield in the County of Essex of the said Province containing by admeasurement Eighteen acres more or less being composed of South part of Letter I in the 2 Concession Western Division of said Township of Gosfield aforesaid commencing at the 2 Concession running north to a line drawn and agreed upon between said parties, then running east to Letter K, then south to concession, then west to the fence between said parties.
To have & to hold unto the said William J. Malott his heirs and assigns to and for his & their sole & only use forever. Subject nevertheless to the Reservations expressed in the Original grant from the Crown. And the said Simon Wigle releases unto the said William Malott all claim, demand, right or title unto the said land and tenements or any part or parcel thereof.
