Always

With no final farewell,
No last adieu
You left us only with such golden
Memories
Yet no parting grin or embrace.
Jason, we will always love you.

We will remember
Your trumpet play, your kind heart,
The snowmobile rides,
Your enduring suport, your
Innocence,
The hope we felt inside, that sometimes
Only you
Could give us.
Jason, we will always love you.

There is simply no doubt
You are in a better place
Like the one you made for us,
Sparkling golden like the sun.
But still
We plead for one,
Just one
Last look at your face
To see that smile you could give,
To light up a room, to
Make us forget the troubles of the world
And remember joy
Jason, we will always love you.

These words cannot bring you to us,
To touch our lives
As you did so often
Nor will any tear we can cry
Make your family feel better
But if
We can show we love you
And that
You will never be forgotten
For the hope you shared with us cannot fade.
It will live on inside us and burn brightly
- Your light will shine inside us
Always.
Jason, we will always love you.

Thank You for Sixteen Years

Thank you for sixteen years,
Spent tearless, in joy,spent
Putting a smile on my face with yours,
Keeping me grounded, giving me
Someone to confide in.

Thank you for being immortal,
Your soul living on, strong
Inside my own, giving me strength.
Supporting my thoughts, you have always
Given me strength
When I need to move mountains.

Thank you for being fearless,
Always learning new tricks,
Always
With a smile on your face,
From snowmobiling to soccer to hockey,
Your courage gave me
The courage I needed
To be myself
With you,
I could always be myself.

Thank you for being honest,
Your words always truthful,
Your heart always open, never
Tangled in lies or mistrust.
Your arms wide open,
You embraced the world
In ways I still try to understand.

Thank you for being the reason
I approach Life with a smile,
When Life turns its back on me
Or when the road I take is cold.
You are teaching me how to care,
And how to know
What really matters.

Thankyou for being my teacher,
For being someone I could learn from,
An honest friend that I could depend on,
For setting an example I could follow,
Giving lessons I am still learning.
Oh these lessons,
More powerful than anything I've ever known,
Teaching me what's right, Oh
Your lessons prove there is life
After death.

Thanks buddy, for everything.
Thank you God for giving us 16 beautiful years.

Untitled

The winds go on blowing,
As the sun will always shine.
Upon those who remember,
And those who have cried.
Never forget,
His memory will not subside.
His spirit shall endure
The ravages of time,
And those who knew him in life,
Will be reunited in God's Heart.

If it were me, not you
What would I want you to do?
Would I want you toi cry?
And keep asking "Why?"
For a while, I guess, 'til you're through.

If it were me, not you,
I'd want you to move ahead too,
For life is for living,
And love is for giving,
Each day is a new gift to you.

So cry if you want, for a while,
Then flash us your wonderful smile,
That smile is a gift from above,
You're caring, compassion and love,
When tears fall like rain,
'cause you can't stand the pain,
Remember I love you in Heaven.

Oh how I wish it were true,
That it were me, not you,
Who was taken away,
On a cold wintry day,
I miss you so much Jay, I do.

For you were the beautiful child,
Who'd make us all bursting with pride,
Even though you are gone,
All the memories live on,
It's just so unfair that you died.
Even though you are gone,
All the memories live on,
It's just so unfair that you died.

So I'll cry if I want for a while,
I'll remember your wonderful smile,
All the wonderful times we had,
That special way you called me "Dad",
When Tears fall like rain,
'cause I can't stand the pain,
I'll remember my angel in Heaven.

So when the going gets tough,
And I feel that I've had enough,
Yes, I may shed a tear,
And wish you were here,
To hold you and show you my love.

If it were me, not you,
What would I want you to do?
I would want you to try,
To reach for the sky,
And remember that God loves you too.

We'll cry if we want for a while,
We'll remember your beautiful smile,
You're up in Heaven above,
Where you share your incredible love,
'cause when tears fall like rain,
You can help ease the pain,
You're our Guardian Angel in Heaven.
