~ Our Fishing Trip ~

We took the kids to a lake this weekend to go fishing. They had blast reeling in 23 bullheads. There is nothing as gratifying as pulling in a fish on your first cast! It was up to Laura to bait the hooks as Jonathan was the only one who would bait his own. She also took all 23 slimy fish off the hook to put in the bucket for Bryan to watch. He was pretty sad to realize they weren't coming home as pets but back to the lake to be caught another day. Megan was fascinated by the bait. She loves worms, and the leaches were a hit as well. She's quite her mother's daughter watching them "stick" to her hand as she tips it upside down. Jason could only cringe as she showed him how cool they were!
