What is Anime?
To be honest, I really don't know either. Its a Japanese artistic form, specifically pertaining to how characters are drawn. Undoubtedly you have seen some Japanese cartoons at some point; Gundam and Sailor Moon are some of the more popular examples. In general, characters have nearly ideal bodies (perfect proportions, musculature, etc), brightly colored hair, and, most importantly, HUGE eyes. It is a form that is simple in concept, beautiful and interesting in result, yet extremely difficult to master. I claim to be a mere novice of the art form, as only recently I have begun drawing in this particular style.
About Me
My name is Jason Liu and yes, I am a damn Chinaman. I dont see it as mocking my heritage, just poking fun at the American bastardization of my cultural background. I go to Poway High School in San Diego, California. It's second semester senior year for me; seniors all across the land know what that means. I seriously believe pillows should be issued out as standard equipment, since about half the class is sleeping anyway. It's the rather pivotal month of March for me - the month UC (University of California) acceptances come back. Soon I will have to decide which school I will attend, whether it be UCI (University of Chinese Immigrants), UCLA (University of Caucasians Lost among Asians), or any of the other fine UC institutions in my state.
