I. Story
It is better to take proper time to look around the places, meet people, make friends, fall in love, check out stuff, etc. I know. But when the time and money are limited, there are two choices: 1. stay in only several places but take time to discover the place, people, history, etc. 2. go around quickly as many places as possible, take pictures, try to absorb the scenery as you go, and think about the trip later. The second option is a little bit crazy as you can see if you go over my travel log. But you can taste many places in a relatively short period of time, with careful plan and selective choices of attractions and places. With my limited resources (time and money), I decided to take full advantage of Eurail, which provided limitless transportation for a given period of  time. I visited 20 countries in about 1 month, running like crazy with the heavy backpack, even though many times I locked it in the train station locker. I took a lot of pictures and gained a self-confidence that I can go anywhere and manage myself.

The following are some of the highlights that still remains in my memory:

1. Museum/Palaces in Moscow and St.Petersburg. Amazing places and awesome displays.
2. Medieval town in Germany. Both pretty and historic place.
3. Jung Frau in Switzerland. If I had more time, I might have followed the brave hikers up the mountain.
4. Youth Hostels in Stockholm, Interlaken, Caen.
5. The kindness and friendship of a French guy who gave me a ride in Caen to a Youth Hostel late in the evening.
6. Pyramid, Sphynx, and the mummies in Egypt.
7. The chuch of Gaudi in Barcelona, which is still being built.
8. The canal of Venezia.
9. Museum in Paris.
10. The beach of Alexandria.
11. The airport officer in Cairo who charged me for an unofficial visa fee even though there was a visa agreements for tourists between Korea and Egypt.
12. The airport officer in Moscow who tried to squeeze twenty bucks out of me as an  illegal commission for letting me into Russia.
13. The people who bugged me in Egypt to get some money for free.
14. The small cart merchant in Italy who gave me back the change after taking 1 zero from the amount of money I gave him. (e.g., if it were a $100 bill and I bought a $5 thing, he gave me back $5 as a change. By the way, I did not realized it until late in the day when I counted the left over money after the day's tour. When I went to the merchant again, he and his cart was already long gone)
15. The person in the same compartment of the Eurail train to Hungary who tried to threaten me for some money. I played dumb and he gave me an apple. He got upset later and threw the ashtray in the train.
16. The security search in Israel. They strip searched me at the airport and looked into every item I had including some kind of a Korean sauce (food) and they made me drink a can of soft drink because they suspected the can could be a ticking bomb.
17. The cleaner of restroom at an opera house in Wien, who harassed me for using it before the main event began. Aparently, my clothes did not impress her enough to be considered as a valuable guest.
18. The tour guide in Moscow who tried to get more money for his guide even though it was arranged beforehand.
19. Eurail system which did not allow me to use the transportation at times due to the priority order of Eurail and the availability status at some places.
20. Well, there are more positive memories in the end!!!, including the pretty girls I met along the way, the small gestures of many kind people, the beautiful scenery, etc.
