This problem is a never-ending problem that will not end until we take the drug dealers off the street and educate the children.  There is always some thing going on in the drug smuggling industry.  There is always some one trying to get drugs across some make it and some dont and those are the ones who are in the news.  The U.S. Customs Service captured 210,100 tablets of Ecstasy from two passengers at Philadelphia International Airport. Ecstasy, chemically known as MDMA, is an illegal synthetic drug with stimulant and hallucinogenic properties.
The U.S. Customs agency intercepted an Ecstasy seizure, which ranks as the largest ever at Philadelphia International Airport, occurred on January 31. At approximately 1:40 p.m., two German nationals, Sven Bareinz, 29, and Heiko Hamel, 31, arrived at the airport via Air France flight 378 from Paris. Both proceeded to the baggage claim to retrieve their luggage.  (www.customs.ustreas.gov/news/news.)
Popularity of so-called club drugs, ecstasy, federal law enforcement officials have made the largest seizure in United States history of MDMA, a hallucinogenic drug commonly called Ecstasy.  A shipment of approximately 2.1 million tablets of Ecstasy a total of 1,096 pounds of the drug with a street value of at least $40 million was seized at Los Angeles International Airport after arriving on an Air France plane from Paris. As a result of the seizure, authorities arrested three people linked to the ring that specialized in importing the drug from Europe and distributing it from its base of operations in Los Angeles.
