The Official Jeri Lynn Ryan Homepage is proud to announce that Jeri
Ryan has
been added to the cast of David E. Kelley's high school drama Boston
Public.
For all of Jeri's fans who have become used to seeing their favorite
actress
on a weekly basis on Star Trek: Voyager, her addition to Boston Public
means
she will remain on our TV screens in a new and exciting role. Boston
Public,
which chronicles the personal and professional lives of a group of
Boston
educators, is currently finishing its first season. Jeri will join
the show's
returning cast members when filming on the second season begins in
July. No
details have yet been released about Jeri's character.
Currently airing Monday nights on Fox at 8 p.m. (7 p.m. Central), Boston
Public is the latest offering from Kelley, whose other shows include
Ally
McBeal, The Practice, Chicago Hope and Picket Fences.
Jeri, who ends a four-year run on Star Trek: Voyager with the series'
final
episode on May 23, will make her debut on Boston Public this fall,
though it
won't be the first series she has joined in mid-run. Jeri was added
to the
cast of Voyager for the show's fourth season and joined the cast of
Dark
Skies in the middle of the show's first season.
Jeri's other television work includes guest-starring roles on such shows
as
The Sentinel, Melrose Place, Murder, She Wrote and Matlock. Her other
credits
include the films Wes Craven Presents: Dracula 2000, Disney's The Kid,
Men
Cry Bullets and The Last Man.
Fox is expected to formally announce Jeri's casting today, May 17, when
the
network releases its schedule for the fall season. Jeri is in New York
for
the announcement.
