For those that don't know, this movie is based on the show that has been on for 18 years! Can you believe that? Anyway, Lake Springfield is badly polluted. Homer gets a pig and decides to put the waste into the lake. Springfield has to be quarantined by having a huge dome put over it and it's all Homer's fault. The Simpsons end up going to Alaska but return just in time to save the day. Any one who watches this show at all know how smart the writing is. A show can't last for 18 seasons on crap. Sorry "Two and Half Men"! Boing! Ok, so this is basically three back to back to back episodes but on a grander scale. It has some laughs. It drags a little. My biggest complaint was that the supporting characters didn't have a big part. I won't say I'm disappointed. I liked it, I laughed and I don't want to see it again.
