Another weekend, another threequal. In the latest installment of the Shrek series we now see Shrek and Fiona married and living in the castle, filling in while the king is sick. The king dies and wants Shrek to be the heir. Shrek finds out there is another possible heir, Justin Timberlake (like this guy doesn’t have enough stuff going for him). So Shrek, Donkey and Puss go get JT while Fiona is preggers.

This is another franchise at which I believe peeked at #2. I don’t think I laughed for at least the first 30 minutes and it’s only barely 90 minutes long. It finishes strong and the princesses (voiced by Cheri Oteri, Amy Poehler and Amy Sedaris) are a bright spot. Overall I think this franchise is done, but I have heard they will make a couple more. Obviously kids will love this, but I was disappointed. Don’t get your hopes up too much.
