Loosely a sequel, we revisit Evan Baxter (Steve Carell), the tormented newscaster from Bruce Almighty. Now he is a Senator and ready to "Change the World." Soon God visits and wants him to do just that by building an ark a la Noah. He then has to gather up the animals two by two (which I have written a song about). And of course wacky biblical animal humor ensues.

I had pretty low expectations for this. I didn't think the trailer looked very funny. I didn't really get why we needed a second one of these movies. I was pleasantly surprised. It's not hilarious like "Knocked Up," but it is pretty funny and a really good movie for the family. I'm not sure if Steve Carell can not be funny. Sure, the obvious animals out of control jokes are there, but really you expect it so it's not that bad. It's not a monumental picture. It's not a classic comedy. But it is good.
