Day one was layout and construction of the three dimensional elements. This is Chopper contemplating the progress.
On day two the architectural perspective developes and the urns below take shape.
detail of urns
On day three color and the horizon line begin to develope.
On day four I paint the sky (surreal, super real) as well as incorporate the green and yellow awning. Today the mountains formed on the right end.
More of the same from day four. Note the free standing gas street lamp in the foreground.
This is a detail of the capitol additions that Chopper made to the walls with my marbleizing to set them off!
Day five and the fountain in the middle of the courtyard appears.
Day six and the previously mentioned lampposts mysteriously form in the courtyard, tying reality and illusion together.
On day seven a surprize awaits our owner. Through cunning and careful questioning of staff an family I discover the photogenic qualities of Sandy, Roberts feline companion! Presto, larger than life.
Also today Chopper returns to smooth the surface of the far window. This is in preperation for forthcoming portrait work.
The complete middle ground with fountains, ships, and lamp posts complete the composition.
The promised portrait work. This is Robert, the proprieter of the the Melting Pot and his granddaughter Fracy.
This is Sandy. Take two. Sandy as large as life!
Prey to Sandy's predator.
This is the proposal for the right ajoining wall. It will posess a continuation of the architectural elements and and outdoor garden complete with waterfall and fish pond.
