Work experience	Cogswell Art Intern Feb-June 2006 American School for the Deaf West Hartford, CT § Assisted in the daily routines of the art room and provided additional help to the art teacher. § Developed and implemented lessons in the classroom to engage student involvement. § Used sign language and a variety of instructional approaches to create learning experiences for all students. Educational Outreach Intern Summer 2005 Foodshare Inc. Windsor, CT § Developed and promoted new outreach tools for youth, to bring awareness of the issue of hunger. § Wrote and illustrated a children’s coloring and activity book that addressed hunger related issues. § Visited and spoke at elementary schools and Sunday schools regarding the work of Foodshare and how individuals could help fight hunger.
