Jason was very calm, cool and collected when it
came time to propose.... yeah right!
The night started out with a nice dinner at the Treasure Ship Restaurant with
our friends, Della and David. It was still about an hour and a half before
the sun was supposed to go down, so Jason had to take up some time. We
went grocery shopping for the weekend and we went to a Krispy Kreme on the other
side of town. By the time we got back to the Condo, we had just enough
time to put the groceries up and get to the beach. I didn't want to go out on
the beach. The slick track go carts were calling my name, but Della, David
and Jason talked me into taking a "quick walk". While we were in
the Condo, Jason had grabbed his Bible and tied the ring to the ribbon
bookmark. We got down to the beach and Della and David walked to the water
and Jason said, " I have been wanting us to start doing devotions together,
so let's do one now." I said, "OK..." So we sat down
and he opened up his Bible, and read from the book of Joshua. "As for me and my
house, we will serve the Lord." Then he read Ps. 31:10. This
scripture is talking about being wicked... He had read the wrong scripture in
his nervousness!! So, he finally got around to reading Prov. 31:10 about
the virtuous woman and that's when he got down on his knee.
He proposed at the exact
time the sun was going down.
