Last week, during showdown, The XWF Green champion, Cade Silver, was betrayed by his fellow Illuminati partner, Jon Hampton. The two were up against one of the most infamous known to the sport, but still, the two biggest competitors in the XWF, came out victorious against the team consisting of Hampton and Silver, Xtreme and World champion. The two kept going on that night, and earned a shot at the XWF Undisputed Gold, while Cade only had to drop back, and wait until Eye for an Eye, where he would face his new enemy, Chris Falkenyork, in a match never been participated by Silver, or perhaps anyone in the federation. Round two was on the way, and it would be nothing shorter than pure hell. On one hand, the former champ, York, was on the verge of taking back the title he worked so hard for. While, on the other hand, raining champion Cade Silver was on the verge of losing it, due to past losses over the last two Showdowns, against York/Jones and Blood.but things would blow over, and Cade would take what was his once more. The win against York last pay-per-view wasnt a fluke, and that also was something that he wanted to prove to everyone, not that he really cared all that much, but it would be a simple task.to be said, at least..
The scene opens up, in the cold hell of Denver, Colorado, where Cade Silver is ever working for his up coming title defense. The sweat is flowing, and the muscles are being worked. By his side, is Jon Hampton, and on the other side, his brother, Steve. Both men watch contently, and as Cade finishes, Hampton steps in, and finishes up his reps.
Cade: Give it hell, Hampton. Weve slacked off this week, but we cant let that catch up to us. You have Nero, a double title reunion, while I have York. Neither of us really have time to slack around like we have these last few weeks. The Illuminati is setting a bad name for its self, and thats about to change.
Hampton nodded, and quickly finishing his set, completing the same amount of weight as Cade, and faster. Hampton mops the sweat off his brow, and sits down on the blue cooler, grabbing a container of Fago.
Hampton: You bet your ass. Nero may have got me that first time, but I cant let him make me look like a fucking fool again. He had luck on his side, and thats all there was, fair and square. Next time we meet, at Eye for an Eye, there will be no such luck. Itll only be the two of us, one on one. And Ill be the one who merges the belts together, not that prick.
Cade: Thats exactly what I want to hear man, and I expect nothing less. As for York, I have to fight that one alone. The last match we have, Ive heard nothing but negative remarks from. I didnt earn it, York passed it down to me, thats some baby back bull shit. York knows what happens, just as much as I do. The match continued after you were banned, and I bested him after that. He may protest that he had me before, or that the new president was picking favorites. But if he was doing that, he would have went to York, like Evil has already, or for that matter, Blood. Everyone is about him these daysOr hell, he could have even went to Jones. If were talking favorites here, then I shouldnt be much of a factor, seeing as Im easily the most underestimated guy around here. The only guy that really gives me credit, is Blood of all guys. And that much I can also respect.
Hampton: That ass clown, wants what everyone wants, and thats the shot at your title. He wants it more than damn anyone right now, and I believe Im safe to say. The time will come when the title moves on, but itll never leave the hands of the Illuminati. And I can also feel, that well be growing in the near future.Well not be the only two, for so long. Three titles well have, but we wont stop until all of the titles are ours.
Cade gets up, and removes his shirt, tossing it aside, this leaving him wearing a pair of sweat pants. He gets into the squat rack, and in the instance, tears the shit up, in ever meaning of the word. He strains, and even screams a bit, perspiration seeming all along his body, but he finishes, even in record time. He says nothing, and quickly grabs a towel, slamming his ass onto the ground, and begins to wipe himself off, a little short of breath, eyes dead set forward.
Cade: I dont have time to worry about that shit, not right now. I worked too hard for this title, to get to it, and also to win it. People like Jones dont give credit where it is due, but thats the time when Ill prove myself, again. Of course, theres no reason why I should, seeing as Im as high as that fucker wishes that he could be.but hell, I have all the time and talent in the world. Everyone took me lightly, when I held that Xtreme Championship. I told everyone I was the best there was to off, and look at me now..I took the Futures Title, and even after dropping that to the shitter, Vanchiez, I didnt slow down, not for a second. I took the hole that the King of Xtreme gave me, and I firmly tucked the ball under my arm, and ran like hell, until there was no stopping. I overcame every damn obstacle, and took Yorks life from him, the very title that made York what he was. It became mine, and even since a few short weeks ago, Im not about to let my short run as a champion come to an end, not now, not yet. My era has just began, and I will continue to run my course. No matter who wins the Blood-Jones match, Ill be as ready as ever to take on the next competitor, no matter who the hell it is, hell, Id be more than glad to take them both on, and maybe even toss York in. I love a good challenge, the more the odds are stacked up, the better that I already do.
Cade stands, and let out a low, deep sight, cracking his neck aside, he walks off, leaving the two alone, without saying another word. Cade is off of the set, while Hampton stands, and continues his workout, and Steve only smirks, marking on his clipboard.
Steve: Hes getting ready, its how he does it. No one can better prepare him better, than Cade himself. Every time he has a big challenge, rather it was in school, or even now, he always took his independence, and prepared himself alone, took to extreme challenges, and never gave up. Hes a man to respect, and a hellish man, I could respect any man who had the balls to beat him, when he came to play the game, like he will against York.
Hampton: *Smirks* Cade can do as he likes, and Ill do what I want. He has his ways of getting around, and so do I. Ive been around for a good time, and I know what Im getting myself into. Nero is a little prick, who thinks that he has the world in the palm of his hand, when he really has it filled with his own shit. His time will come, just like Yorks will. If you think York has shit coming, you can only imagine what Im about to bring.its going to be hell, and not the kind that ends up being funny.
Hampton downs the remaining bit of the Fago, and sits it down kindly on top of the cooler as he gets up, and grabs the duffle bag by the door, assuming it was his, and left through the door, the chilly win seeping in, as the door closed. It left Steve in the large area by himself. He was somewhat speechless, but just shrugged, leaving into the office, as the scene fades.
**Two different men, but yet all the same. Splitting ways, until the night of Eye for an Eye, where the Illuminati will be in contention of three titles, Futures-Xtreme-World, leaving only two left**
**The scene opens up once more, inside of the locker room, fifteen minutes later since the earlier scene. Cade is looking blankly across the locker room, blinking every thirty seconds or so, body cooled off now from the sweat, the intense cold drifted in the room, but looking at Cade, this couldnt really been told easily.**
Cade: The legend begins York, and not only mine. Youve made your own living, for at least three years now. For around a year out of those three, youve held the World Championship. And also out of all of those years, I would say it was a sparse time where you went without some kind of title on your hands.but theres a difference from then, and now, everything is the different. Competition is different. The papers say, from years ago, that the greatest champion to ever live, will always be Carlos Shotgun. Even at that point, you took some harsh criticism, up until you lost the title to me. Then, it seems like you receive the most respect, not from only a few, but from everyone. After you did the impossible, people finally began to give you what you deserved, and not until they seen what they had lost, a great champion. But your loss will not be a bitter one, or that of one that was meaningless. In the rain of Shotgun, I could even bet as much to say that he was criticized, and cheated out of a lot of things himself. But looking at shit right now, you couldnt even think anything like thatthe man has had everything, and even a place in The Hall. If he came back, there isnt a doubt in my mind hed have a shot for the belt, easily.
Cade reaches into the bunker next to him, and grabs a cold bottle of water, which had water sliding down it. To Cade, it had felt a bit cool, seeing as it had been there for a bit, left for when hed come out. He slowly began to twist the bottle lid, and sat it down, gulping from the bottle, until a good amount of the liquid had been put down.
Cade: This match will be hell to pay, not for one, but for each of the men who dare to enter. York knows what it will be like, before it begins, for he was the one who decided the stipulation. A good call from the man who used to be on top of the world, but a man who isnt yet denied of it fully, York still has the path, and all he must do, is follow it. Defending this title is something that is only second nature to him, and to me, its something completely new. Ive defended numerous belts, not only in this fed, but in a few others, and I to know what its like. Only the difference is, this is not some piece of shit title, but it is THE title. The name of its own, is legendary. Any man who is able to get their hands on this title, already deserves more than most that get credit..The title is where Legends are born, and where Legends die, a simple fact. This belt made Carlos Shotgun, York, and myself, and it easily could destroy all three. It already put Shotty out, and its not yet slowed down York, and as for myself, its only managed to make me what I am right now. This is all old news to everyone, but Im sure York is interested in what I have to say, and its not simply the same thing, every week, or the same title. It is, in means, the same title that it has always been, but its in my possession, and in order to keep it, Ive got to give him hell. All in my wrestling career, I have never held anything so dear, that Id put all that Ive lived for, on the line.If it takes all that Ive got, every damn inch of strength that I have within my body, the question isnt how long itll take me to quit, but more so how much there is inside. A human body can only take much, but a spirit can never be brokenthere are occasions, that it has happened to me, but on that night, my pride will run wild, and York will face the true beast that lies within me. Im not the first man whos said it to York, but I will be the only one that is able to prove it.nothing makes anything different, between me, and Blood, a man who has failed several times at being Yorkexcept, I took the title on my first try. And instead of coming in an Eye for an Eye, trying to rip the belt from York, hes the one trying to take it back from my hands, not the other way around.
He downs some more of the water, only leaving a quarter or so left. In the spot next to him, theres already a few more waters left in reserve.
Cade: That one little fact, already makes me a better man than anyone thats been around.to be able to beat a man, on top of his game, take his life away from him, all in one night, with one match, is a big feat, no matter how big the man is. I broke Chriss spirit that night, I put his ego down in a trip to hell, and as much as he escapes the fact that I beat him, deep down inside, he knows that a loss, is always a loss in this sport.I know that one, to. Losing goes hand to hand with winning, we all cant win all the time.maybe that night, was Yorks time to lose, and maybe it was only my time to win.some others also say that I was lucky, seeing as York underestimated me as a minor threat, but that to, is a joke, brought to you by the all knowing Jesse Jones.but York knew what I am, what I had to offer. Hes faced me before, and sadly to say, I wasnt the one who benefited from the deal. But that night that he beat me, I did learn a lot about York, that many will never know.the side of York that sees he caresand that night alone, he knew that I would be the one to take his belt from him.and during King of Xtreme, although he may or may not have came out and said it directly, he knew it was going to happen. He predicted me to win the King of Xtreme, and then and right there, he already was preparing for me, as he came home every weekend, and watched the show.every week, I was the main to remain on top, and prevail. Rather it was to face two men, in the same night, to similar matches that end careers, and win each.to bleed enough for two men, and still be able to walk around the ring, and hold your hands into the airand finally, to come through against one of the most over rated people, and to become the third ever King of Xtremenot to mention the past season, even almost winning the Xtreme Battle Zone match, had it not been for the cheap shot by Logan.but that to is a part of the game, and that is jealousy.but all of this time, maybe since thenYork has been watching me, hes kept his eye out on me, even before our own little short lived feud. He knew that I existed, and soon would be the man who put him on the run, for a change.
Cade glances up towards the fading lights a bit, and recalls all of the times that hes came above all of the competition, and rose above all the expectations, and became what he wanted to be, dreams coming true, and some minor ones being shattered, and not only those of his own.
Cade: That is something that I have known for the longest time, that maybe no one else has knew.York still never came out and directly said it, but a man of his stature knows the sport, and knows what its going to be like.but theres something else I also picked up from a Legend..that once you grow so old, once your skill has grown to an accomplished level, there isnt any plateau that stops you at anytime.Rust can be knocked off, and give time to rise up.I was around when York took his title from Shotgun, and I looked up to himnot because he was the World Champion, but because he earned it. And on that day, he really was on top of his game, he was on the level that he could put anyone down that night. His spirit and dreams were running high, and when he could truly see how close it was from his grasp, he did all that he could to grasp it, and pull it to himand well, we all know how that ended upAnd on that night, he reached a level of skill, that he may never be able to reach again, that any man who holds any type of title could reach, but when I faced York during the tag match, last week, I found that was oh-so-different. Hes not became weaker, but only stronger. Hes never slowed down, or ever missed a beat, but only turned his cheek the other way, and prepared for a match that he knew would be coming his way. Hes been ready for this moment, a hell of a lot longer than I have, and has known what he needs to do to stay on top of the game, and nothing can keep him from taking the title, but one thingand that one thing, is Cade Silver.
Cade smirks, standing slowly, to glance along the walls of the Denver gym. There were a few rules, written in red, and he read them.
Cade: 1. Thou shall never give up.and I proved that, when York put me down fairly the first timesince that time, I knew I would make my come back, but in order to win against him, I needed time to get better, time to get to the next level, and bounce back with an incomprehensible power of my own, which could be seen with your own eyes..2. Thou shall never say noOr so thats how I see it.when you say no to anything, youre always thinking negative. Being negative about everything, will get you no where. If you fear a challenge, and run from it, youll never be able to accomplish your fears. When you put all of it behind you, and step up and make the plays when they count, its easy to see that its all worth it, tooth and nail.
His eyes keep moving along the walls, skimming along the other rules, and downs the rest of the bottle, dropping the empty cell aside, but really didnt bother about moving it.
Cade: In order to be a champion, you must act and think like a champion. In order to contend with those who oppose you, you must think your opponents. You loose sight of those that you must face, and youll also lose sight of that you fight for. When you fight for something, you must never allow your mind to fade off of that thought, or allow yourself to day dream.idle hands are the work of the devil. The man who works the hardest, doesnt always win. The biggest guy, with the biggest muscles, doesnt always over power the smaller guy. The tallest guy doesnt reach the highest, but only seems to fall the hardest, and reach short, and under the limit.every man has their limits, that can be reached through a series of test, or even a brief braking. Mens souls can be broken, but maybe not as easily as their physical body. Although, some have their points of breaking, as my friend Shiru met his destinyuntimely, I was the man who made him face these facts of lifeyou see, being around longer than someone else, doesnt give you the win. Experience isnt the only reason York has been able to maintain his Legend status.
Cade continues to walk, and eventually, wonders outside of the ice cold surrounding.the scene fades
To be Continued.
