This is a list including prices on just about everything I bought for this car.
Exhaust:
Flowmaster 40 series Dual Outlet Muffler with 3" chrome tips
Welded to stock 2.25" I-pipe
Price:$260 Exhaust shop, Summit Racing(includes tips, removal of old muffler, installation of new one)This one was messed up by the shop I had install it. The pipes were connected wrong on the muffler.
Gains: power loss due to wrong muffler, very decreased gas milage.
Flowmaster 40 series Dual Outlet Muffler with 3" chrome tips
Welded to stock 2.25" I-pipe
Price:$240 Exhaust shop, Summit Racing, Jegs (includes tips, removal of old setup, and installation of new one)This one replaced the messed up setup of my old system. This shop got a good laugh at the way the old system was ran.
Gains: maybe 2-5hp, FUEL MILAGE IS BACK TO NORMAL!!!!!! The neighbors don't seem to like this one either (a good thing cause I don't like them).
Intake:
K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit
Price:$200 Summit Racing
Gains: 5-10HP, and a deeper exhuast note
Rerouted Throttle Body Coolant Lines
Price: Free (the parts are already on the car)
Gains: 5HP at the most
Relocated IAT Sensor
Price: $60 SLP, Home made About $5, The parts that are needed a small amout of 16-14 gauge wire and 4 crimp butts.
Gains: ????, Moving the IAT sensor further away from the motor should give a more accurate reading thus more power and better fuel economy. I removed the IAT sensor out of the intake elbow and into the hole for the AIR system on the K&N FIPK.
Insulating Tape On Intake Elbow
Price: between $2-$4 a roll, available at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowes Its used to seal a/c ducts
Gains: ????, I got the idea after looking at the header wrap that is supposed to reduce under hood temps. I am/was hoping that this might reduce the incoming air temps.
Drivetrain:
3.42" Ring Gear
Price: $150-250, This was on my car when I got it. The car was in a accident (before I got it) and the rear end was replaced and came along with a better gear. The only down side is the discrepency in the speedometer.
Gains: Well before I bought this car I test drove a 95 Firebird. Let me just say that it is a very noticable difference in performance in the automatic with the 3.42" ring gear.
Steel one piece driveshaft
Price:?, another item that was on my car more than likely due to the accident that it was involved in.
Gains:more horse power and torque to the rear wheels due to the reduced rotating mass. Stock driveshaft is 2 piece and a heavier less reliable unit.
Apperance
Trans Am Rims
Price: $625 SLP, this included tires
Gains: Well they just look alot better
Goodyear GS-C P245,50,ZR16
Price: $625 SLP, Came on the Trans Am Rims
Gains: The fact that I bought rims and tires for less than tires, and the Z speed rating.
