The Man in the Stone

jallenmartin

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, there was a man that lived in a stone. And on top of this stone, in a round blue vase, was a heart that pumped blood into everyone's veins. Below the stone lived a worm that crawled upon the sand. And every now and then, he spit upon the man. No one ever noticed, no one even cared, except the man, the stone, the worm, and that heart that sat up there.

And when the moon came out, it gave a creepy glare. And when its light hit the stone, it shattered in the air. Melty toads would croak behind the trees, just out of sight. They couldn't wait for the moon to burst into the sun and end the night.

The sand was made of limestone, the stone was made of sand, the heart was made of tissue, the tissue made the man. The toads were melted butter, the moon was made of cheese, the light was made in darkness, and the worm made out of trees. The spit and blood were made of glass, the vase made from the air. But no one ever noticed, and no one even cared.
