Finally! My first photo. This photo was taken by myself in August 2002. This is located on US 322 Westbound in Hershey, PA. Should be a familiar photo to folks who normally travel to Hershey. (Click photo to enlarge)
(Click to enlarge) Taken, obviously, on PA 39 Westbound (actually Eastbound at this point) in Hershey. That's my father's EZPass tag blocking your view. As you can see, PENNDOT has a habit of putting the road type (Drive, Road, Street, Highway, etc) underneath the name.
The pictures below were taken on a trip to Pennsylvania in July and August 2002. All photos may be enlarged by clicking on them.
This photo was taken in a totally different area of the Keystone State: The Poconos. This was shot on PA 435 Southbound near Gouldsboro, heading towards Interstate 380. Note how, like many other states, Pennsylvania's DOT makes the first letter of it's directional signs larger than the others.
This photo was taken at the beginning of my vacation. It was shot on Interstate 80 Westbound in Pennsylvania, just past the State Line with New Jersey at the famous Delaware Water Gap. This welcome sign is standard on all of Pennsylvania's major highways which cross the border, except for the PA Turnpike.
This photo was taken on I-380 Northbound near Gouldsboro. The Exit 13 BGS came out great here :) .
This photo was taken on the way home...:( I don't know if you can make it out, but thats the sign warning drivers entering Pennsylvania and the PA Turnpike that they have to stop and get their ticket. (Unless they have EZ Pass)
This is the decorative and catchy welcome sign posted on US 322 Eastbound entering Chocolate Town USA: Hershey, PA. It resembles the famous ads for the town.
