DC ONE MILLION

The 853rd century of the DC One Million universe is set one million months after the publication of ACTION COMICS #1 which saw the first appearance of the Golden Age Superman and the birth of the modern superhero. The series retained the format of previous crossovers such as Final Night and Genesis with a four issue mini-series that all DC Universe titles for that month tied into. The numbering of the tie-in titles for DC One Million was unique with each issue being the one millionth issue of that series. This caused some problems for collectors who used computer inventory systems that could not handle issue numbers this night.

The event saw the final issues of GREEN ARROW, CREEPER and YOUNG HEROES IN LOVE while the MARTIAN MANHUNTER series was launched just prior to it and a new HOURMAN series appeared a number of months later.
