These are just some of the questions I asked myself that fateful night.
On the advice of the little known mystical sage Uncle Alfie I was frequenting
a popular IM called ICQ (you may have heard of it!). Fearing that the
guru was (for once) wrong in his predictions I was about to give up and
hit the off button when it happened!
She came down my wire, side-stepped my firewall, and into my network.
A sudden flurry of disk activity ensued, hard drive lights blinking in
the darkness. My entire network was....... smiling!
Even my normally unsociable and rather grumpy slackware box was whirring
merrily away.
And then she spoke. Her voice quiet and reassuring. It filled my heart
with joy and hope. changing my outlook on life forever. When she smiled
my heart soared and I knew then that my life would never be the same (anyone
feeling queasy yet?) Yes that's right I had been infected with the w32.jasmine
worm possibly the first binary/human transfer in history.
