I joined the military my senior year in high school, as I really had no clue what else I was going to do.  Besides, it was up to me to carry on family tradition.  My grandmother was in the Women's Army Corps, and my mother was a Polish Interrogator in the Army as well.  My younger brother, also recently graduated from his Army AIT, he's in the reserves.  Here is my timeline.

    
January 2001- Joined the North Dakota Army National Guard
                             - Unit- 129th Mobile Public Affairs, Bismarck, ND

    
January 2002- Went to basic training at Ft Jackson, South Carolina

    
March 2002- Went to AIT for broadcast journalism at Ft Meade,     Maryland

    
October 2002- Went to Ft Lautaro, Chile for 3 weeks as a public affairs representative for a joint U.N. peacekeeping mission

    
March 2003- Mobilized in support of Operation Noble Eagle and Enduring Freedom- spent 3 months at Ft Riley, Kansas

    
January 2004- Spent a week as a public affairs representative in Ft Carson, Colorado

    
March 2004- Switched over to the North Dakota Air National Guard
                          - 119th Fighter Wing/Services Information Manager, Fargo, ND

    
September 2004- Went to tech school at Keesler AFB for 2 months
