Inspiration
I have been fascinated by corsets for a long time but I considered them to be exclusively a female garment. Then things started to change one day as I was browsing in a bookshop...

I can't remember what the book was called, unfortunately. There was a few very old photographs portraying Austrian military officers wearing very tight corsets. I don't think I instantly wanted to wear a corset but those pictures had an effect on me.

Some time later, I found on the Net a reproduction of a corset advert that renewed my interest. (Click on the image on the left for the full picture of the advert.)

It wasn't long after that I decided to get a corset.

I bought a leather corset in a shop on impulse. The fit was terrible but I liked the look of it so much that I started looking for a custom made corset almost immediately.

My corset
My corset is from Wasp Creations, the Mid-Hip model in a black satin-like fabric.
I was looking for a design that would be similar to those that had started my interest in corsetry. The hourglass corsets that most staymakers offer would have given me a much too feminine figure. The wasp-waisted shape was just what I wanted.

It is the look of the corsets that first attracted me but as soon as I tried it I discovered the great feeling of being constantly hugged by the tight-fitting garment and the instant improvement of posture.

Photos
These are a few of the pictures I have taken. The shiny fabric of the corset is difficult to photograph so I don't have many good ones so far.

On the last two pictures the corset is just about fully closed (25") and is still quite comfortable.

I'm not sure yet if I want to put larger pictures here. If you want to see them, contact me on IRC (see below).

Progress
March 2002: I have found it easy to slowly lace tighter with time. I now wear my corset almost fully closed. Soon I will order a new one with a slightly smaller waist.
I don't have a reduction goal. I will just stop when I'm satisfied.

January 2003: It's been a while since my last update! During the summer of 2002 I stopped wearing the corset in public as it was much too obvious under light clothes. After a few months of occasional wear it felt like I was starting from the beginning again. I currently wear the corset laced at 26". The pressure on the ribcage can be quite intense with the wasp-waisted design so I'm taking my time.
