ESL students are integrated into the regular classroom and provided with pull-out or in class support in small groups.
There are five high schools and they each have at least one ESL teacher to help students adjust to the Canadian school and to cope with classroom English.
All the elementary schools in the district have intenerant ESL teachers who provide at least two blocks of instruction in ESL per week in small groups.
Kindergarten student who do not speak much English can choose to go to a regular kindergarten class at their neighbourhood school and attend a Language Enhancement class the other half of the day. Currently, the classes are only offered at two schools.
