St. Euphrosyne

Sometimes the Fool Doesn't See
Sometimes the Fool only Eats
He does not See, Hear, or Smell
He doesn't even Taste the Smile.

Am I a fool for blindly devouring my goddess's love?
     Now I remember your scent:
          Sugar and Sweat
          Peaches and Salt

I remember smiling, laughing, running through fields of flowers.
My eyes blurred by lavenders, blues, and yellows.
My senses overwhelmed by your intoxicating scent.

Sometimes, though, I forget.
Sometimes, though, I have to be reminded.
Fear not though -
I will always bask in the radiant glow of your smile
I will always cherish the warm silk of your naked skin in shared embrace.
I cannot control time or death.
I cannot even control education or future and fame
However, I will always love you.
Euphrosyne, my goddess...
your goodness humbles me.
