On August 18, 2001, 4 members of my family decided to take a leisurely expedition down the Hiwassee river. My mother and I had taken the same trip approximately one week earlier with a group from my church. We had a great time even though we managed to go through every "rapid" sideways. We didn't tip over or fall out. We wanted to share this experience with my brother and father.
