Made in 1948, this radio uses
five tubes and receives AM.
Information is hard to find on this one until I tear it down and try to find a model number. Just browsing through some price guides, I have narrowed it down to this model. When I first spotted this miserable thing in my favorite flea market, I passed it up. Later on the seller was obviously wanting to get rid of his junk, so he dramatically lowered his price on this radio to just a few bucks. Since the parts are at least worth that, it followed me home. Of course it looks like a fun challenge, so I will eventually restore it.
