REPORT FROM JERUSALEM
Well here is crunch time once again. This week I need to decide if I am going to the UK at the end of January or if I can afford to stay until the end of February. I have told Barry and Batya that it could be as early as that and they are not happy at my going unless the Lord brings another nurse along in the meantime (as He is quite able to do) then no medical supplies will go out. Unfortunately, barring His intervention, I do need to top up. My two room mates leave, one this month and one at the end of next month, leaving me to the rent. I am trusting that it will become clearer as to what the Lord wants as the time gets closer. I will miss them both greatly as they have been a real blessing to me.  If I am going to go straight back to the storehouse, or take 4 months to intensively (full time) learn Hebrew so that I have the language under my belt properly. This would be benefitial both for the storehouse and the clinic and just personally with the people I meet. The situation at the storehouse is that at the end of February, there will be, Manuel (German volunteer), Paul (from UK), Tsahai (Ethiopian Jewess working as secretary) and Annie working in the clothing. It is a pretty desparate situation staff wise. There is no-one coming at the moment and so there will be very little aid going out and non on the medical side.I am attempting to get a large order out to two hospitals before I go. One to a 400 bed hospital that has been having to wash and reuse bandages, and one that is in central Jerusalem that is smaller but that is looking at having to close because they have no money. This hospital has recieved many of the bus bombing and cafe' bombing victims because it is right in the centre of Jerusalem. The religious man that was one of two that came out to see us, told me that they have no more tear to cry over the situation. There is just no money. My heart went out to them and so I would love to get out this order for them before I have to go. The last place is a Elderly peoples home that is need of supplies. So the next 3 weeks will be non stop. The Hannuka play I was in, went well. It was great fun and I trust a great blessing to those who came to see it. I played a greek, Zerafina Zuesafina, and took great pleasure in hamming it up in my part, with two others. We were likened to the three stooges. As you can tell from that, it was light hearted but we trust got the message across. A challenge remembering my lines in Hebrew though, and then remembering the choreography. The clinic is still a real joy and opportunity to share. I don't know if I shared it with you but I will again just incase I left it out. I had the opportunity to share what I believed with one of the Vets there (Sheli) one evening as he helped me with the floors. We had been the last there and he said there had been something he had been wanting to ask me, and that was , what made someone leave home, family and friends and come to a country no-one liked and do what was doing. Well this gave me the opportunity to tell him exactly why and I just pray that it sets him thinking. I look forward to Dafna finishing her ambulance driving course and being able to ride with her and help her on her shifts also. She is training to be a paramedic and is a sweet sweet girl. There is a girl in my congregation who has just recently had a baby. Unfortunately she has become paralysed a few days after the birth. They think it is something to do with the epidural. She is in Hadassah Hospital and has regained a few millimetres of feeling below her belly button and some in her toes. The day we heard that she had feeling back in some of her toes, we had prayed in the morning that she would feel her toes and that the feeling in her abdomen and toes would meet. Looks like God has started answering that prayer. Please pray with us that she will make a full recovery. We have been in touch with the other congregations throughout the land and have set up a 24 prayer watch for her. Anyway, must go for now as I have to get ready for congregation. Will write again if there is anything I have missed .
