Title: The White Owl's Vigil

Author: Stacy 'Little Magpie' Barrington

Rating: PG

Summary: Jareth watches and wonders at Sarah while
in owl form.

--

Ethereal wings of silvery white
A ghostly owl in mid-flight
Swoops to land on a stony perch
He watches and waits
And ends his search;

A lovely young maiden appears
So pure to behold
The owl's dark eye tears
At the sight of such gold;

She is a flower of innocence
A portrait of divinity
The owl watches and waits
He gives in to vigilance;

A specter in plumes of silvery white
Who waits for the flower maiden
When the dark storm emerges
She'll call to him this night.
