Grammar and Vocabulary
- Your and You're
(Until now most of us still interchange the word YOUR to YOU'RE or vise versa.)
Example Sentences:
-You must behave the most because YOUR the class president.
(The sentence above is grammatically wrong because of the word YOUR, so in able to correct it, we must change it with YOU'RE)
Right Sentence:
You must behave the most because YOUR YOU'RE the class president.

Your is used to reffer to the things that the one who talks to you owns.
You're (Which is originaly you are) is used refer to the one who's talking with you

(The articles A and AN still confuse some minds.)
Example Sentences:

-There's AN banana under the table.
Correct Sentences:
-When I grew up, I want to become A AN astronaut.
-There's AN A banana under the table.

A is used if the next word to it starts with a consonant. (b, c, d, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, p, q, r, s, t, v, w, x, y & z)
An is used if the next word to it starts with vowels. (a, e, i, o, u)
- Was and Were
Example Sentence:
Once, there WERE a tree besides that house.
Right Sentence
Once, there WERE WAS a tree besides that house.

Was- is only used for singular nouns and;
Were- is only used for plural nouns
- The Apostrophes
(Sometimes we misuse or we place those apostrophes at the wrong place.)
There are lots of examples for the errors of using apostrophes but here are some:
-Kristin books are missing.
-Jonas's convinient store.

You don't need put apostrophe then s ('s) if the word ends with s or ani letter that sounds like /s/ (s, z, x)
