Timber Hill, Montana

Timber Hill, located in the Ruby Range, affords one panoramic views of spectacular mountain ranges.  Local geology consists of the three rock types in addition to a few structures.  Travelling into this country should only be attempted during dry conditions as shrink/swell clay roadways are nearly imapassable when wet.  Timber Hill was part of the 1999 Summer Field Mapping course for the University of Montana.
