I've been playing this horn
since February of 1999 and I still love it. It's a Bach 50 with two
independent Thayer Valves. The mouthpiece is a Schilke 60G.
My valve conversion was done by Charles McAlexander, who is the man behind
the Brasslab in New York City. If you're thinking about having a
Thayer conversion done to your horn, I can't recommend anyone but Chuck
to do the work. Simply put, he is one of the best craftsmen to ever
touch a brass instrument.
