Hello, and welcome to the Matunuck Fire Department's web page. This page is brought to you to update the community and our own members on upcoming events, and to serve as a reminder of what is or will be going on at the station. Some of the things included for the families are a Kids Fire Safety page as well as an Important information section. For the firefighters we have a monthly drill schedule, which will be updated every month to let everyone know what we are going to be doing. As a reminder to the members, the Important Information section will include reminders on our upcoming events as well as the monthly meetings. Some people aren't too religious, but someone looking over your shoulder never hurt while battling a blaze, so be sure to check out the Fireman's Prayer page, if you read it, it has good symbolism. Added was the History of the Maltese Cross because we as firefighters wear the Maltese crosses on our turnout gear and it is around the station as well. If you asked someone why it is worn they probably wouldn't know. It is pretty interesting, so be sure to give it a look. Reminder: Check back frequently for new updates.
