About me:

Hello, I am Jared Monarrez. My STEM major is Bioinformatics. I am want to go into Bioinformatics because it recently shown to me that in Bioinformatics one could be able to manipulate human and other animal genes to combine them. Imagine becoming like Spider-man or any superhero you like. Bioinformatics takes human genes and attempts through computers to figure out what about our genes make us only have limited amount of time until our cells run out. Bioinformatics has many different sub-levels, which is why i want to major in Bioinformatics. Major aside I am a soon to be 16 year old that currently attends ITW David Speer Academy. My birthday is on March 15,2000. My goals are to get a career where i can sustain my family and not have to struggle or have to sacrifice things because we don't have enough. I want to be able to bring change in the world, with our source of energy running out, a change is what the world needs. I have overcome obstacles just like anyone else, but mine are more so personal in that i have to over come the habits i have gained over the years, procrastinating being one of those bad habits. I don't have any abnormal talent but i am very athletic, I like most sports such as, football, soccer, rugby, and baseball. I do like to workout as much as possible, but most of the time it's not attainable.
