Modeling  for Children

 Angel found a pretty place
To rest her little head
Flying makes her tired
So now she's tucked in bed

Learning how to fly for her
Has really been a chore
She is such a little one
Learning to explore

Found this special garden
With fragrances divine
Said I'll have a rest in here
I'm sure no one will mind

So she floated into peacefulness
In a garden filled with love
Jesus looking down on her
Laughing from above.

Modeling for Children. Well what can I say. My daughter, Sarah, at age 2,
was approached by a modeling agency...well actually, I as her mother was.
With her blonde curls, angelic face, and brown eyes, she was perfect for the
job! I agreed and then she started her career. It's  funny, but of all the jobs
she did, it was mostly Japanese companies who selected her. The American companies, wanted the curls, wanted the face, but because she did not have blue eyes, she always lost that job.

With a newborn son, Christopher, it was very difficult, going to auditions at strange times of the day, and in places I had no idea of even how to get there, it was a  stressful couple of years. Not to mention spending hours and hours just sitting around watching while filming took place.

The upside of it all was that we were not very well off, and the money she was earning has gone towards her education, and such things as home improvement. Her first job she was paid almost $3000 for 5 days work. She of course had no idea she was working, and always wanted to go to "smile-click"!!

A warning to all prospective parents of children who are to be models. Although the rewards are great, remember that the hours are long, the travelling is huge, and the long days can be very stressful to both the parent and the child/ children. Think very seriously before taking on such a demanding career for your child. And remember also when the child reaches school age, is it really worth all the stress and missing out on parts of an education just to make a few bucks??
