GYMNASTICS
For the past eight years (I think) I've been involved in gymnastics.  I love the sport a lot and my favorite appartus is the uneven bars. (those are the bars that are two different heights that the girls use)  I've been coaching gymnastics since I was thirteen, first as a junior coach now a senior.  My favorite part about gymnastics is that you can practice anywhere, anytime and that it's an individual sport not a team sport.  I currently no longer do gymnastics but coach instead.  Last year I taught our two competitive groups, beginner and advanced.  Being in gymnastics in the past I trained in both Winkler and Winnipeg, training Tuesdays and Thursdays in Winkler and Fridays in Winnipeg.  One year I even took gymnastics camp in Winnipeg during the summer!  That was really tiring and lots of hard work.  The highest level I ever achieved was Advanced Optional which happens to be the highest level in the recreational stream.  That's also the level where you get to make up your own routines!!  As a member of the Stars Gymnastics Club I went to competitions all over Manitoba, did displays in the mall and was on the annual float in the parade.  I love gymnastics and I wouldn't trade it for any other sport (even if I was good at something else.)
Ashely, me, and Jenessa with our old coach Krista who got a job as a teacher in Australia!!
Ashely, Lynn, my mom, Katelin, Corinna, and Jodi trying to fix our aches and pains after a day-long workout at summer gymnastics camp.
