 here are some of Joan's weapons of choice

Joan uses an assortment of distortion and delay effects pedals to create her violin wizardry. She prefers her famous 5 string glitter laden electric violin for most of her work noting that, " it allows for more Black Sabbath potential."

She is also found of semi- solid and hollow body guitars saying, "I really love these guitars, especially if their well made, but they're expensive!"

Beginning with her work in Black Beetle, Joan has found great use for her Wurlizter electric piano and has since created her new sound, for the JxAxPxWx project around the instrument. "I love it's warm, round sound."
