Mina/Sailor Venus
Mina/Sailor Venus is the Most similar charater to Serena/Sailor Moon/ etc. The reason is that Mina showed up in another Takeuichi manga named Sailor V. What little I know is that some of the characters in Sailor Moon are either based on characters from Sailor V or are directly from Sailor V. Amy and Darien are based on charters from Sailor V, their Sailor V characters look exactly alike. And Mina and Artemis are directly from Sailor V. Sailor V takes place before Sailor Moon starts, about a year, making Sailor Jupiter the last of the Inner Scouts to be discovered, and possibly the last to be discovered,it depends on when you think Neptune and Uranus were discovered. (I'm not counting Saturn.)
I said it before and I'll say it again, Mina is al ot like Serena. Both are normal, what passes for normal anyways, junior high schoolgirls who don't do well on tests. (Serena does worse, maybe beacase they went to different junior high schools.) So what if she fights evil forces bent upon the destruction of all life on Earth and has been killed three times that I know of.
One last thing, I know its impossible to tell, thank you very musch DiC, but Venus is the leader o fthe Inner Scouts. Its not Sailor Moon, she's just protected by the Inner Scouts because she's the Moon Princess and posesses the Silver Imperium Crystal. The best instance I can think of Venus leading is when she tells everyone to attack the flower following them when the first get on the astroid in the Sailor Moon: R movie. But keep an eye, now that you know Venus is the leader you will notice her taking more leadership roles than you did before.
