| I'm gonna go ahead and get this out of the way in one big chunk... 1.) ADULT SWIM This block freakin' rocks. I'm not to fond of Sea Lab 2021 or of Harvey Birdman, but I do love Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Home Movies (which is back on currently) and most of their anime line up. I don't really care for Konan Tantei (detective Conan/ Case Closed) but that's really the only complaint I can offer as far as anime goes. I'm glad they have their Saturday block back. I'm suprized they didn't get more complaints about WHR though. But I enjoyed it very much. I'll probably review each anime show as need be. Futurama rocks, as usual, and I'm looking foreward to the new episodes of Family Guy, but they won't be coming to Cartoonnetwork for some time. I can wait. Good things come to those who wait.(Helvetica in honor of their bumps) |

| 2.) Yu Yu Hakusho This is what i would like to refer to as "gateway anime" but its more universal than just lumping it into a children's section like Yugioh, Pokemon, Digimon, Dragon Ball (all of them, which I cannot stand for reasons I do not feel like ranting here) or what not. I must say though: I love this anime. The acting is not so bad and the story is well done enough to hold my attention through the whole seriese and FINALLY Cartoon Network are being a bunch of (bleepin bleep bleeps) about airing it one week only to take it off the next. They have a nice time slot to play it so that it lasts for quite a while wiht out them having to replay ALL of the episodes. There's quite a bit. My only compaint really is that the episode chunks are too long. The Dark Tournament and all that lasted about 10 episodes more than it could have. But, again, I still love this anime. I recomend it for the experienced and novice otaku alike. |
