Background: Adam Thoren was born on Argus just before the IronPride rebellion. When it began his family was one of the few that fled back to U.E.G. space.
He joined the military when he was 25 after seeing one of his friends from Argus on a television broadcast fighting the U.N.S.C.. He was a very determined and skilled warrior and became friends with James Korban before James betrayed them to IronPride. Adam was even one of the "Dark Angels".
Having lost almost all his friends the IronPride, Thoren was considering changing his alligience aswell. But when news of his family's death at the hand of rebel, Adam knew his current course was the right one. He was soon approached by Yamato Heavy Industries and became the first pilot of the BETA.
