Criteria

Score | Explanation |
|
Overall Aesthetics (This refers to the WebQuest page itself, not the external resources linked to it.) |
||
|
Overall Visual Appeal |
4
|
This WebQuest page is colorful and at the same time, pleasing to the eye. This is a needed attribute for web pages because it can revitalize a user and prevent user-fatigue or boredom. It helps the reader stay on the page to find out more about what it has to offer. |
| Navigation
& Flow (0-4 pts.) |
4 |
Navigating the webpage was easy and clear. I particularly enjoyed the prompts or questions at the bottom of each page which invited the user to move to the next. The option of not scrolling back to the top of the page, in order to move on, was extremely well received. |
| Mechanical
Aspects (0-2 pts.) |
1 |
There were not many mechanical aspects to this web page. |
|
Introduction |
||
|
Motivational effectiveness of Introduction (0-2 pts.) |
1 |
The introduction is highly motivating, however, more could be done, especially graphically, to allure and captivate educators, and at the same time, appeal to a wider audience. |
|
Cognitive effectiveness of the Introduction |
2 |
The introduction definately appealed to a thinking audience. From first glance and a quick read, the questions were sharp, and made me think of ways to get involved in the project. The introduction is definately effective and is certain to have educators thinking of incorporating technology in an inclusion learning environment, as it did me, or at least, thinking that such a quest is important, necessary, and manageable for teachers, and will be interesting and fun for students. |
|
Task (The task is the end result of student efforts... not the steps involved in getting there.) |
||
|
Connection of Task to Standards |
4 |
The connection of task to standards is appropriate. Easy access can be gained via the Interenet or district policy manuals. The webquest site also provided links to make the task easy to accomplish, example StateStandards.com which 'breaks down the curriculum standards of each state and lists specific skills according to subject area.' |
|
Cognitive Level |
5 |
The task is aimed at adult students or educators. It is a relevant and appropriate task for individuals specializing in technology and education. Therefore, it is not impossible or too difficult for this group to accomplish. The term Universal Design Principles however, can be a turn-off to new technology users or beginning educators. It should be broken-down or explained instead of being presented as is. |
|
Process (The process is the step-by-step description of how students will accomplish the task.) |
||
|
Clarity of Process |
4 |
The process is listed in steps which makes it easy to follow. Furthermore, the directions are clearly written for the user to read and carry out. |
| Scaffolding of Process (0-6 pts.) |
5 |
Without technology knowledge or prior concept of Universal Design Principles, the platform on which to carry out the process could seem potentially difficult. More could be done to make each process more appealing and attractive to the eye. A lot more could be done electronically, and with animations, graphics, etc., to give the process a more user-friendly appeal and decrease be so wordiness in the text. |
|
Richness of Process |
2 |
Despite the wordiness, most of the material presented in each process was relevant. |
| Resources (Note: you should evaluate all resources linked to the page, even if they are in sections other than the Resources block.) | ||
|
Relevance & Quantity of Resources |
4 |
Many links were included to give users easy access to important sites. |
|
Quality of |
4 |
All links were working and seemed relevant and appropriate to the topic. |

Clarity of Evaluation Criteria |
5 |
The evaluation criteria/feedback was clearly written which made it easy to interpret. However, there were too many questions. Some users may be inclined to leave some questions unanswered which could undermine the reliability results. |
|
Total Score |
45 | Overall, the material presented in this webquest is relevant, appropriate for today's changing times, manageable, and presented clearly. The webquest seemed to be challenging but was effectively presented to motivate today's teachers and to show them that technology is an opportunity for ALL students, those with and without disabilities, to have a brighter future. If carried out, the task would benefit students and even teachers could have fun with the project. A 90% score is within acceptable limits for a well put-together webquest proposal. |
