| Homo vs. Hetero Sexuality: Sigmund Freud believed that all heterosexuals both male and female exhibited some form of homosexual characteristics. In a much acclaimed paper, "Case Studies in Homosexuality", he stated that 92.3% of heterosexual males have thought about sex with another male. While 94.3% of women thought about sex with another female. Also, he showed that 42% of males had "sexually explicit dreams" about other males. Usually, these males were close friends or relatives. While, only 12% of women had these dreams about other women. What nature intended: Freud also made advanced studies in the formation of homosexual desires in heterosexuals. Freud conjectured that while biologically nature intended humans to be heterosexual; Our advanced brains were causing us to lean towards a more and more sexually free society. He reasoned that although, wild animals engage in both homosexual and hetersexual behavior, that there is a fundamental difference in human behavior. This difference he said would cause our society to become totally homosexual with 100 to 150 years. This he said "would cause a significant decrease in world population, possibly causing the extinction of the human species". Indeed, recent studies have shown that there has been a 13% increase in strictly homosexual behavior (APA Journal, August, 2000) and this percentage is only expected to exponentially increase. |
