Jeppis Power Meter :)

If you donīt know how much power your car has you can use the same method as people do in Jeppis, Finland. They use a table that shows how many horsepower different modifications give and count how much hp they have in their cars. Itīs a cheap wat of finding out what to tell your friends when they ask how much power there is under the hood.

I will list the most common modifications and give you a little example.

Since I put out this side on my homepage hundereds of people has used this method to calculate how much power they really have.


Modification Horsepower
1. Sport airfilter that gives great sound + 30 hp
2. Homemade exhaustsystem with sport muffler + 35 hp
3. Huge stereosystem + 10 hp
4. Someone thinks that you have a Turbo + 30 hp
5. 16" or 17" lightalloy wheels with highspeed tyres + 20 hp
6. New paint on body, black or red color + 10 hp
7. Competition camshaft + 50 hp
8. Modification of inlet and outlet in engine + 30 hp
9. Bigger carburator or double carburators + 50 hp
10. Aluminiumpedals and sport steering wheel + 10 hp
11. Real racingseats + 10 hp
12. Lighten body with carbonfiber + 10 hp
13. Higher preassure on injection + 30 hp
14. Modifications in black box up to +100 hp
15. Carbonfibre panels  + 15 hp
16. Superchips sticker on the car + 25 hp
17. Manage to do a one wheelie burnout + 30 hp
18. DTM exhaust outlet + 20 hp
19. Bosh Super 4 spark plugs  + 15 hp
20. Octan booster   + 20 hp
21. MSD ignition system  + 45 hp
22. Bmw M3 side mirrors  + 10 hp
23. M sign on a Bmw 316  + 15 hp
24. New Wunderbaum  + 5 hp
25. You have just read the latest issue of Bilsport + 20 hp

Example

If you have a BMW 316 that has about 80hp in original performance and does modifications 1, 2, 8, 9 and 11 you will get aproximatly 235 hp in your car and than you will get a very fast car. 

 

This is how they do in Jeppis and they think itīs a reliable system. :)
