Day 36. Trains and Busses. Zavi's mom called and said that Zavi had fun on the train! Yaay! I must learn all about her trip. And then I must continue to save money so that I can take a train trip. To-day my mom helped me figure out which busses to take to my new school . . . I think I have it figured out. I will be quite busy to-morrow, getting ready for my trip to Ashland and then for the beginning of school. Plus, I hope to post a partial cast list for The Westfork District. I redid my voice acting resume. I might replace the Popple picture with the Popple picture that Zavi took, but other than that, I quite like the new design. Thursday, September 20, 2001
Day 35. I Am Tired Because I Got Up Early. I guess that's how it works. Eh, it is life as usual, so this isn't quite a trip blog anymore, except that Zavi will still be onna train for another day. I hope she is having lots of funnn . . . My feet hurt again, from work. That's what I did today, go to work. I also posted a reminder for people to audition. I have much to do to get ready for school, as it begins on Monday and I will be gone this weekend. Wednesday, September 19, 2001
Day 34. Now I Am Sad. Gaaah . . . I . . didn't realize how sad I would be once Zavi left. I thought I would be too busy to be sad, but apparently one can be sad and busy at the same time. It feels so very lonely. It's so quiet and still. The weather has gone cool and cloudy, finally, which I love, but it makes everything seem even more strange. Zavi is probably in Spokane right now. I have turned on the TV and played lou, happy music and made a lot of soundfiles so as to be doing something. But responsibilities loom before me and I am very sad. This morning, Zavi took pictures of me with my headset on for voice acting. She also took pictures of the Popple with the headphones on. Then we went downtown to hang out--eee, the TV is playing more stuff about the devetation of the WTC--and to Rainbows. And we walked around there and found a great used bookstore. I got a book of Japanese phrases. Then we went to the beautiful marble train station. We decided that we must always take trains in order to support them. We ate muffins. And then Zavi had to leeeaave. I hope that she is having a great time. Meh. I want to go watch a fun movie, or something. Tuesday, September 18, 2001
Day 33. My Feet Hurt. Work makes my feet hurt badly. But now at least I will have an income. It is so unfathomable that Zavi is leaving to-morrow. It seems so strange and unbelievable. It's been a strange and unbelievable week. Tonight, after work, we went to another McMenamins and ate cheesecake weirdly again. It did not work as well this time, though. Monday, September 17, 2001
Day 32. To-morrow is Back to Real Life-ish. I would say that computers are evil, but my computer might bite me. Because they are, you know. This computer won't let me multitask tonight, and the other one won't either, but for another reason. I oughtn't go into details. But anyway, I'm writing this on Notepad right now because I'm afraid that going to blogger.com will mess up my download. Today we went to my grandparents' for dinner. It was a lovely time; my grandparents came back from Sweden not long ago, and my uncle, just back from Alaska, dropped by. I played chess with my dad. My grandpa helped Zavi and me play pool. Then Zavi and I played some M:TG, with Bill & Ted's Exellent Adventure on in the background. I didn't notice the Clackamas Town Center or the Lloyd Center, but I know that bits were filmed in one of them, so I need to watch more closely next time. The concept of the movie is very good. My mom made some red-white-and-blue ribbons to wear. She worried that they look like French flags, but no one will notice that. We took many pictures. I have to go back to work to-morrow. I reeeaally need to start saving some money, so going to work is a good thing. Sunday, September 16, 2001
Day 31. Another Day of Nothing. It's kind of like you don't want to leave home for fear that things will happen. Things are supposed to happen this weekend. But they didn't to-day, not tangibly. We didn't do much. Were going to go to my critique group, but I'm still just a little sick and don't want to be up too late. We watched "The Air Up There," which was very cute. Umm, I renewed some library books. The weather is really odd. Hotter and more humid than it should be. Last two weeks of September ought to have cooled off; the rain should be here. We've had threats of some storms, which would rock, but it seems as if the last few days have been the proverbial calm before the storm. If, indeed, there will be a storm. Oh, yes, the snake incident! My dad has a picture of the old Revolutionary flag with a snake and it says "Don't Tread on Me". We wanted to take a picture of it and print it out, to hang on cars and such, so we took it outside. As soon as we spread it on the ground, a tiny snake slithered from under it. My dad caught it and it was so little and cute! Apparently we have a garter snake that had babies. But I've never seen any until today. Until we spread out the snake flag. It was bizarre. And I think Zavi got a picture of the little snake slithering across the flag. It is nice to see so many American flags around.
Day 30. I Cheated. I skipped a day! How dare I? Well, I was sick. Still am, actually. Tomorrow I will sleep in. Yay! I got things done at PSU today. That is such a relief. There is more to do, but I have my student ID and almost all of my books now. Let's see. Yesterday we watched movies. Today, after PSU, we went to a rehearsal at my old college. Kinda missed it, but I saw some people and the remodeling they're doing in the theatre, and picked up a script, and paid for a trip to the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. Then we bussed to Hawthorne and had yummy Indian food, and things. Zavi explains it better, plus an explanation of a crazy-ish lady. I carried my tape recorder around and got some good soundfiles. I need to start labeling my tapes, though. Now we are listening to Art Bell and it is scary because they are talking about war. |
