To Protestantism
by F. Mascariña
If I had to limit myself to five Catholic Apologetics websites, I would narrow them down to these five:
Catholic Apologetics International
Traditional Catholic Apologetics
Catholic Answers (Caution: Novus Ordo site)
And here are three other websites I would recommend to you:
Time does not permit me to write articles right now, but that, I think, is quite alright since the links above provide excellent defenses of the Catholic Faith. Please, please, please do not take the links I provided above for granted! Take advantage of the different sources the above links use to prove the truth of the Catholic religion. Did you ever think to use the philosophical arguments to defend the Church? Then visit Catholic Insight. Do you want to build your own arguments from historical records? Click on Coronum Catholic Apologetics to see what the ancient Christians thought about the Mass, Mary, Confession, and more. There are countless apologetics sites out there and the links I gave above were chosen for their wealth of information and because the answers are ad rem ("to the point") and "battle-tested," since many of the articles were written by ex-Protestants.
And speaking of ex-Protestants, do you ever wonder about what it must be like for ex-Protestants who find themselves defending their newfound Catholic Faith? Well, as for me, I never cease to be amazed at how pastors always need a reality check whenever they talk about "Catholicism," or whatever it is they dream up and then falsely (perhaps even unknowingly) ascribe to real Catholicism (i.e. the Catholicism we Traditional Catholics have been practicing all this time); "Mary worship" -- what in the world?! I would not be surprised if ex-Pagan St. Justin Martyr would laugh out loud at such a suggestion.
In any case, I invite you to read some of the apologetics articles these ex-Protestants have written and see for yourself why Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen's words ring true for us ex-Protestants:
"There are not one hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church, but there are thousands who hate what they think the Catholic Church is."

Here is a quote from G. Hoge's page:

| Caution: Some are Novus Ordo Neo-Catholics. And
Scott Hahn's works are not recommended as it still smacks
of Protestantism, whether he is aware of it or not. I would also like to apologize for not remembering where I got this list from; I must have closed the window accidentally before I could get the web address; it is probably from a certain Kim's Catholic Links. |
