Bud is a rat with a sordid past... he came to the SPCA after his owner was arrested and he was seized!! We named him Bud as an homage to his former pot-smuggling owner. Poor little Bud is shy, but friendly, and with love and attention I have no doubt that he will come around to trust us fully. He appears to be quite young; under 6 months, probably closer to 4.
Sugar's past is unknown... she's young (4 months old maybe?), that much we can tell, and is full of energy and curiousity! She's shy, but not overly so, and I'm sure she'll come to trust us fully, rather fast. I hope so... we've already realized how bloody fast the little sweetie is, and if she ever gets loose we have no chance of catching her, unless she wants us to.
Right now both of these rats are in individual quarantine and will be introduced to some same sex friends when the time is right. |
