Children Development Project “Weaving Dreams with Janjaokha Camp - I Love Nature”

Preamble
Established in 1999, Janjaokha is a group of students from Thammasat University dedicated to helping underprivileged children reach their full potential. Driven by belief that with great heart, each and every man can make the world a better place to live in for all. Janjaokha seeks to shape our society to the place where opportunities are given to underprivileged children. Our missions are: 1. To give an opportunity to underprivileged children through on-going activities 2. To build a mindset of social responsibility and community spirit to our youngsters This summer, we are arranging a nature conservation camp for 30 children from Maharat Foundation, the orphanage home, in an effort to create new learning experience for the children. The camp is scheduled for April 30th – May 2nd, 2005 at Khao Yai National Park.
Participant
1) Children ages 10 – 12 years old from Maharat Foundation = 30 People 2) University Students = 40 People Camp Objectives1. To give the children an opportunity to explore and learn about natural resources from real experience and learn how to help protect our environment2. To develop appreciation and awareness in participants for their impact on their environment, the team and natural setting 3. To promote self-reliance, cooperation and personal growth through living together and team work 4. To develop leadership and creativity in the participated group 5. To establish students’ awareness of and desire to help in solving the social problems in the community.
